Step this way, it’s time to celebrate, Foot Health Week has arrived!

‘Running’ from 22nd April to 26th April, Aberdeen City Podiatry team will be providing local support and advice through a number of initiatives to promote good foot health.  There will be stands/tables at the Aberdeen Health Village, The vaccination center at the Bon Accord center in Aberdeen city and also at the main concourse at ARI where people can pick up information on foot health.

Good foot care is important at all ages; well cared for feet improve your comfort, mobility, confidence, independence and positively impacts your overall quality of life.

New Diabetes Network - Diabetes Scotland and The Alliance

A new network has been set up for people who live in Scotland and have been affected by diabetes. The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) and Diabetes Scotland want to hear about people’s experiences, opinions and ideas, and work with them to make improvements to the lives of people affected.

Supported by the ALLIANCE and Diabetes Scotland, the network will provide a space for people affected by diabetes to discuss and share ideas, and support the voice of lived experience to influence the implementation of the Diabetes Improvement Plan.

What is our ask?

We want anyone affected by, or at risk of diabetes to join our network and get involved in the work. It is important that we build a network that is representative of diabetes across Scotland’s population and that allows individual experiences to be heard.

If you have any questions, please get in touch at diabetes@alliance-scotland.org.uk  or phone 0141 404 0231 and ask for Louise Rogers.

To join the network, please see information on the Alliance website.
