Type 2 Peer Support Groups

Aberdeen City Type 2 Peer Support Group - Living Well with Diabetes

The Aberdeen Peer Support groups are informal opportunities to share experiences and tips for living with type 2 diabetes. Sessions are arranged by people living with diabetes who have been trained as peer supporters by Diabetes Scotland (Diabetes UK) with the groups also supported by professionals from other professionals involved in diabetes care.  As well as peer support, they offer the opportunity to request and have information sessions about relevant topics from local health care professionals.

While face to face meetings were avoided during the COVID 19 pandemic there are plans to ensure this support will be available in COVID safe formats.
